Exercise Angels provides professional, specialised and unique Modern Pilates classes.

Our Modern Pilates classes are suitable  for everyone from a complete beginner, those returning from an injury or operation, new mums and sports people alike.

If you require a one to one level of service, we also offer Personal Pilates Training sessions in your own home. Exercise Angels also has specific fitness and Modern Pilates classes for Pre/Post Natal mums.

Classes are available in Buckshaw Village, Chorley and Bolton. Personal Pilates training is avaliable throughout Lancashire. Please see our timetable to find classes near you.

Hi, I am Ruth Hoyle, founder and owner of Exercise Angels. With a career spanning over 17 years in the health and fitness industry, I bring lots of knowledge and experience. I am extremely passionate about what I do and really enjoy working with everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned athletes. I pride myself on keeping appraised on all the latest research and education within my industry. My classes are professional, effective and lots of fun too.

Modern Pilates is an ideal form of exercise for strengthening and lengthening your muscles and in general correcting poor posture. It is also used for rehabilitation helping those recovering from back, shoulder and pelvic problems, weak abdominals (core stability) and pregnancy. Individuals in sports training also benefit from the addition of a Modern Pilates Programme.

Modern Pilates is a method of exercise that will condition and tone the body. Its methods are very different from many traditional types of exercise. The aim is to work muscles from the inside out, creating a stronger flatter mid section, improved posture, muscle balance, realigning the spine and improving both the function and appearance of the body.

Modern Pilates is recommended for those recovering from back problems, weak abdominals (core stability), stress incontinence and poor posture. Modern Pilates is an ideal form of rehabilitation.
